Bella is 15 months old  We've just moved from Devon to Norfolk, and were so proud when her new vet said "She's perfect! And so beautiful! Bella's going to be spayed on Tuesday (she has a little hernia) and we're concerned about the collar she'll have to wear. We've bought a comfy collar, but

Hi archie1306,
Just to clarify, it is asprin for a sprain - I know I said asprin in the last para but I should have made it clear at the beginning. So I've edited it.  Cheers.

Can anyone offer advice.
Our stunning boy Riley at 7 months old has started to eat poo.Not his own other dogs.At first ,although unpleasant,it wasn't much of a problem. This has now escalated and is upsetting the family as he has permanent diarrhoea.I know we could walk him on a lead but as we live

As the owner of three spaniels with docked tails, I'm actually a little disappointed Sad In terms of working dogs, yes BUT at three days old how can you know who will work? Very controversial and there is not an easy answer.... If I had a litter of spaniels would I get them done? Probably not if I had most going to pet homes.

Edit: It still needs to go through the final stages!

That's a shame, I was hoping the rest of the UK might follow Scotland in the ban at some point Embarrassed

Initially (correct me if I'm wrong...) it was a U.K. Wide ban then England and Wales made an exemption.

Harry isn't docked, has a huge fan tail, Sam my previous springer was. Sam's parents weren't docked , but all the pups were. I later found out  the breeder docked the pups himself as he sold to gun clubs too. I understand working dogs are docked to protect themselves. It should be done in a safe & humane, if it can be described so, way. Poor Sam, had a lifelong fear of scissors, we believe he was docked very young with a sheep shears or similar.
