Hello from indie
« on: November 07, 2018, 08:06:48 AM »
Hi everyone ! Me and my partner recently got our first springer together called Indie and she is currently 11 weeks old. My partner has had springers in the past but this is a first for me. She is fullly KC reg and she is adoreable! Sheís  very intelligent and is easily stimulated by mind games . She can fetch , lie , paw, stay and even roll over. However, she is very hyper and very nippy at the moment!( everything is based around attack mum and dad ) So we are working hard on bite inhibiton.

Iíve uploded some pics ( hope they work )

And itís lovely to find this forum Iíve had some great information from it so far!

Hello Ryan,

Welcome to the forum   You are in the right place as we are all Springer mad here :023

Indie is beautiful & I see some norty spots on her legs  :023 :love4:

If you havenít already read the post on play biting itís very good & has lots of tips.  Itís hard when they are nippy & I feel your pain as we have a puppy too who is now 6 months old so we have just been through all that.  Kensi has nearly grow out of it, only tends to happen when she gets over excited or her teeth are hurting.  I have 4 different Nylabone & have 2 out at once & she really chews on them. When she is seeming to be board with them I swap them around.  I keep them in the pigs ear sacks so they stay tasty  :023

Pigs ears, natural buffalo ears are great for them to chew on & makes them tired ;D

Itís all about consistency with a puppy & make sure you & your partner are doing the same things & using the same commands.

Any questions please shout up as many times as you need.

Fiona, Hollie & Kensi!

Never forgetting Fawn.

Indie is a beauty, similarly marked to my fella, especially the dark head & tiny white fleck at the nose. As Fawn said the nylon bones are great, I used them for all my springers, saves the nipping a bit.I find Springers are a bit more attention based than other breeds, not that it's a bad thing, as your partner will know, the bond between you will be strong and form very quickly, very best of luck with Indie

Hello Ryan and welcome to our little place.  I'm so glad you've found us and shared pics of your beautiful girl.
Please don't ever tell me where you live or you may find me curled up in Indie's bed for a cuddle!   :023
